Who gives gifts in Wills?

All kinds of people put a gift to the RNLI in their Will. Just as RNLI lifeboat crews are made up of ordinary people - mechanics, postmen, fitness instructors, business owners - so too are the people who put gifts in their Wills to help them stay safe.

Volunteer Presenter Bryan Hughes explains what leaving a gift to the RNLI means to him and how he went about it.

You don’t have to be rich. Everyone can make their mark with a gift in their Will to the RNLI.

You can put a protective helmet or state-of-the art lifejacket on a lifeboat volunteer. You can put a lifesaving rescue board or even a pair of binoculars into the hands of an RNLI lifeguard. You can kit out a lifeboat or even buy one. Whatever you can afford, you can make a difference.

If you have an RNLI story, we’d love to hear it

If you or your family have seen an RNLI lifeboat crew or RNLI lifeguards in action, or perhaps even been helped by them, we’d love to hear from you. There’s a space on our online enquiry form to tell us your story.
