Sharing pride in all that you do for the RNLI

Volunteers’ Week is being celebrated this week in Ireland (14 - 20 May) and in the UK from 1 - 7 June. The RNLI is thankful every day for the commitment you make and is proud of the way you help support our vision to prevent drowning and save more lives.

We know that it has been hard for you to see the recent negative media and hear speculative comments about our well-loved charity to which you give so much time. So to show you how valued you are, we will be continuing to celebrate the extraordinary things you do during these weeks on social media.

If you have social media, we invite you to give a special shout out to your fellow volunteers on Facebook or Twitter by sharing a post thanking and supporting them for their amazing efforts using the hashtag #NVW2018 if you’re in Ireland, or #VolunteersWeek if you’re based in the UK.

Alternatively you can view and share this video or perhaps you could nominate a volunteer for an Excellence in Volunteering Award here.

We know that the volunteer weeks for Ireland and the UK are different but you can join in the celebration either week.

In the meantime, thank you for the difference that you make all year round for the RNLI.
