All dished up – thank you for hosting a Fish Supper!

Now that the washing up is done and you’re full up on fish, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s RNLI Fish Supper fundraiser.

Over 2,500 people have signed up to host a supper and many more across the country are still dishing up until the end of the month.

By hosting a Fish Supper, you have helped to raise money for the amazing lifesaving work of the RNLI so that our crew can get the right kit, training and support and continue saving lives.

This year we’ve had excellent support from staff and volunteers who have shared their photos across social media. Thank you for getting involved and hosting meals to spread the word about the RNLI.

We’ve also had celebrity support from Chef Clodagh McKenna who served up a Fish Supper for Howth RNLI crew a few weeks ago to support the campaign from the start. As well as being mentioned in blogs and on social media, Fish Supper has had widespread regional and national media attention and has featured in Waitrose Weekend, Sainsbury’s Magazine, Eat In, Slimming World and My Weekly.

Delicious recipes from our corporate partners – Aspall Vinegar, Albert Bartlett and Fish is the Dish – have inspired many to cook a supper for friends and family. And the discounts and prizes donated for the Marvellous Menus Competition by Lakeland, Naked Wines and The Saucy Fish Co. have been fantastic.

Last Thursday, over 70 people attended the RNLI College’s Fish Supper which was open to the public. At the supper they had volunteers speak about their experiences of the work of the RNLI, a raffle and other opportunities for guests to donate.
