Newbiggin D Day Memorial Commemoration
The inaugural event was developed in partnership with Blind Veterans UK and Newbiggin RNLI to host a family fun day at the seaside as well as a charity swim.

The open water swim had a course set up in the sheltered bay area with over 40 willing competitors taking the plunge into the cool North Sea waters.

On the shore the wide variety of stalls and displays were a hit with the many visitors from around the region and beyond. Koast Radio were on hand to keep the musical entertainment going throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone who made this event such a success and we look forward to the forthcoming summer events. Details of the raffle winners and unclaimed prizes will be on display at the lifeboat station.
