Book your 'plaice' at the Whitby RNLI Fish Supper
The Star Inn the Harbour, Whitby is hosting the annual charity fundraiser 'Fish Supper' on Wednesday 18 October.
The evening begins at 7pm with food being served from 7.30pm. There will be a raffle, auction and entertainment.
RNLI Coxswain Howard Fields will host dinner on the Coxswain's table where guests can meet some of the volunteer lifesavers from Whitby RNLI.
The lifesaving menu is as follows:
Sourdough Crumpets, Potted Shrimp,
Juniper-creamed Curly Kale, Smoked Bacon & Cider Juices
The evening is part of the RNLI's national 'Fish Supper' event.
The charity's crews are ready to drop everything – even their supper – at a moment’s notice to go to the rescue of people in trouble on the water.
People are also being encouraged to host their own fish suppers during the weekend of 13 to 15 October.
The money raised from Fish Supper events will support all aspects of the RNLI's lifesaving work and could help to buy kit for volunteer crew members or fuel for a lifeboat.
