There has been a lifeboat station at Walton and Frinton for over 130 years. The lifesaving achievements of crew members have been recognised by the RNLI 75 times. Today’s crew operate a Tamar class all-weather lifeboat.

Walton and Frinton Lifeboat callout to Yacht aground on Long Sand Head
Walton and Frinton Lifeboat called out to yacht run aground 13 miles SE from lifeboat station. Yacht crew were taken from yacht and lifeboat waited for tide to come in and yacht to refloat. Once afloat and vessel checked, a tow was commenced to Shotley Marina.
