Skegness Lifeboat Station

Covering part of the Lincolnshire coastline, Skegness has operated an all-weather lifeboat for over 175 years. Today, two lifeboats cover one of the region's busiest beaches and surrounding areas.

Humber RNLI take over a tow of a yacht from Skegness RNLI
Humber Lifeboat Crew were tasked on the morning of the 4th of May 2018 to take over the tow of a casualty vessel from Skegness Lifeboat (the yachts skipper was midivaced by the Coastgaurd Helicopter in the early hours of the morning). Humber Lifeboat met with Skegness Lifeboat 19 miles south of Spurn Point, the tow was passed and the Humber Lifeboat took the casualty vessel in tow to Grimsby.
