RNLI crew on a helm training exercise were tasked by UK Coastguard to a kitesurfer thought to be in difficulty close to Derby Pool on Monday 9 September. The RNLI team was stood down around two minutes from the 10.44am pager call, as the rider had self-recovered to shore, safe and well.
