Bangor Lifeboat Station

Situated on the shores of Belfast Lough, on the north-east coast of Northern Ireland, Bangor Lifeboat Station has provided search and rescue cover for the area for over 40 years. The station operates a B class Atlantic 85 lifeboat.

A volunteer crew from Bangor RNLI launched to a report of a person in water on Carrickfergus side of Belfast Lough.
On arrival, the crew were able to determine that it was just a cluster of helium-filled balloons, and returned to base.
