Operating from a busy fishing port on the beautiful Northumberland coast, Amble’s Shannon and D class lifeboats respond to a wide variety of incidents. Amble lifeboat crew have been presented with 18 awards for gallantry, including the first ever medals to be awarded for a rescue in an inshore lifeboat.

Amble lifeboat launches to two kayakers in distress
Amble's Shannon class lifeboat launched to two kayakers in distress between the piers and Coquet Island, once on scene it was established one kayaker had made it ashore but one still missing, the lifeboat searched south and soon found the other casualty had made it ashore into the care of the local coastguard teams.
