St Albans District Fundraising Branch
Established in 1921 the Branch is now approaching its centennial year. In 1945, to mark the Branch's Silver Jubilee, money was raised to fund the purchase of a new lifeboat; the RNLB St. Albans stationed at New Quay, Cardiganshire until 1970 and which saw active service on 66 occasions saving 78 lives. Money is raised through the sale of souvenirs at local village fairs, quiz night, street and store collections during Lifeboat week, Christmas cards and calendars sale, open garden, annual excursion and recycling of inkjet and laser toner cartridges.
Store and street collectors, especially during Lifeboat week. Committee members.
