Salisbury, Wilton and District Fundraising Branch
The Wilton and Salisbury branches merged in 2018 and the combined branch now covers the area approximately within a 15 mile radius of Salisbury. In 2019 we have set the ambitious target of collecting £12,000, up 20% on last year when we collected £10,000. We have adopted our nearest Station at Mudeford as it is at the mouth of the River Avon which runs through Salisbury. By working with this station we aim to demonstrate how funds raised locally are used for life saving and water safety. Mudeford is involved in about 60 rescues per year and operates a B Class inshore lifeboat.
See what a B Class lifeboat looks like.
Our regular fundraising events include a summer garden party, an autumn coffee morning, pub nights and street collections. We have collection boxes in many pubs and shops throughout our area too. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and this year we have organised a charity golf day at South Wilts Golf Club in October.
We are trying to increase the number of supporters on our mailing list so that we can involve as many people as possible and let them know about our events. If you would like to be included please email your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For further details about the branch please contact The Chairman, Ray Stedman via phone 07900 493215 or at 3 Chapel Lane, Wylye Road, Hanging Langford, Salisbury SP3 4PP.
There are about a dozen people on the committee who are mainly from Wilton and the west of Salisbury. We would like to find new committee members living in Salisbury and in the villages to the east of the city to create a better balance for the enlarged branch. Please contact Ray Stedman via email email@example.com or phone 07900 493215
This is a new fundraising venture for this branch and we are looking for someone to develop and manage the sale of RNLI souvenirs, presents and cards at our events. Please contact Ray Stedman via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07900 493215
